Blackhead is located approximately 125 km from St. John's,
provincial capital of Newfoundland. Drive west on the Trans
Canada Highway (Route 1) and take the exit for Route 70 (The
Baccalieu Trail).
On route 70
you will pass through Carbonear and the town of Victoria. In
Victoria, remember to turn right immediately past the Irving
Service Station. You will drive into Salmon Cove, Kingston,
Small Point and Broad Cove. The next community is Blackhead.
Old Church
Road is on the left past Butt's Service Station. It is marked
by the Historic Site sign of the First Methodist Church built in
Canada.
